Action Learning Associates International (ALA) was founded in 1980 by George P Boulden, Professor Reg Revans, the founder of the action learning movement and Alan Lawlor, to apply the principles of Action Learning to solve business problems.
We see people as the common denominator in the productivity equation and our task as helping our clients to empower their people to maximise their contribution, at the same time ensuring they get personal satisfaction from what they do.
Our aim is to promote the application of the 'action learning' philosophy as the most effective means of empowering individuals and organisations to optimise their productive potential.
We achieve this through taking time out to understand both the organisational and people needs and use this information to design and run performance enhancing action learning programmes.
We are an international organisation providing Action Learning based consultancy and training services to a wide variety of organisations in both the public and private sectors. Since our founding in 1980 we have worked with such companies as Motorola, Xerox, Fujitsu-ICL, Lucas Industries, ACE Insurance, Jardine Lloyd Thompson, Hoffmann-La Roche, NACCO, Devon County Council, REXAM (formerly the Bowater Group). We have run numerous major productivity and consultancy skills development projects for the main international agencies, WHO, The International Labour Organisation, UNDP and EC-PHARE.
We have worked in over twenty different countries including Japan, Mexico, Thailand, Europe both East and West, Africa and the Americas.
